Ekornes’s operating revenues fell by 4.6 per cent in the first half year. However, record order receipts in July give grounds for optimism, and no staffing reductions are planned over and above that which occurs naturally.

Ekornes is today presenting their best ever figures. Both revenues and operating profits are the highest in the company’s history. Employees can look forward to a bonus equal to three-quarters of their monthly salary.

Ekornes’ half-year results for 2010 show an increase in revenue and profits. Profit before tax increased by 72.8 percent to NOK 296M.

Reference is made to the stock exchange notice issued by Ekornes on 4 December 2008 concerning the introduction of a four-day week at the company's factories in Norway. This arrangement is a temporary reduction in production capacity which will be in effect until the end of February 2009.
