Ekornes Ltd. is voted to have “Best marketing support” by readers of the furniture trade magazine “Interiors Monthly”.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Stressless, which is why Ekornes is particularly pleased to report another solid quarterly profit.

Ekornes Asia Pte Ltd is crowned "WELLNESS CHAMPION" in Hong Kong’s Most Valuable Companies 2011. 

Through our North American dealers, more than USD 335,000 were donated to different charities during the Stressless® Charity of Choice promotion.

Ekornes is today presenting their best ever figures. Both revenues and operating profits are the highest in the company’s history. Employees can look forward to a bonus equal to three-quarters of their monthly salary.

2011 marks 40 years since the first Stressless reclining chair came onto the market.  This will be celebrated throughout the year with "Sky Blue", a cheery shade of blue that will be seen in much of Ekornes' advertising.

Ekornes’ half-year results for 2010 show an increase in revenue and profits. Profit before tax increased by 72.8 percent to NOK 296M.

Two or three times a week, container ships fully loaded with furniture leave the Ikornnes factory premises.

From 27th April until 31st October 2010, Ekornes is represented with a separate stand in”The Nordic Lighthouse”, which is a promotional platform for companies and organizations from the Nordic countries. 

Ekornes launches products for maintenance of upholstery fabrics.

Ekornes chairman, Olav Kjell Holtan, is selected Chair of the Year 2010.  He received the award from the Minister of Trade and Industry Trond Giske at an energy summit at Hotel Continental in Oslo on June 1st. 

More than 400 Stressless® dealers will visit Ekornes and Sunnmore this summer.   

The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 is quite busy giving interviews since her victory.  Stefan Raab, host of the German late-night show TV total, made sure that Lena was comfortably seated during the interview.

Although Norwegian furniture export to Japan fell by 4.2% last year, Ekornes increased its turnover in the Japanese market by 22.5%.

Knut Svendsen hired in a new position as E-Commerce Manager for Ekornes ASA.

Ekornes ASA has presented a solid result for 2009. The order income for 2009 is ten percent higher than in 2008.  The Group’s consolidated operating profit totalled NOK 500 million, which corresponds to 19.3 percent of the total turnover.

Ekornes launches four new commercials for Stressless® in 2010

We have started 2010, a year where Stressless® chairs in a bright red colour will highlight advertisements and posters from Ekornes.  Each year Ekornes has a new signature colour, and this year it’s the colour ”Chili Red” that rules. 

In the period 11.-18. December, Ekornes invited dealers from Southern Europe to an exhibition at the designer Pierre Cardin’s showroom, right next to Champs Elysées.

Sø- og Handelsretten (Court) in Copenhagen has today(21.04.2006) decided in favour of Ekornes in the copy case against the Danish chain Biva. The Court has decided that recliners sold by Biva are copies of Stressless recliners. The Court instructs Biva to stop all marketing and sales of the mentioned recliners and to pay Ekornes a compensation of D ...
